13th Annual Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Education Conference

The Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter's 13th Annual Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Education Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Cedar Rapids Marriott.

2007 Keynote Speakers:

• Joanne Koenig Coste, Author of "Learning to Speak Alzheimer's"
• Daniel Quinn, B.S., Ph.D, Professor, University of Iowa Department of Chemistry and Alzheimer's Association Zeith Fellows Research Award Grantee

Other Details:

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fee: $65 ($80 after August 10th) for day conference. A pre-conference will be offered to professionasl on Wed. August 16th for an additional $40.

There will also be an evening session on August 16th beginning at 5:30 p.m. specifically for care partners, family and friends free of charge.

A pre-conference session has also been scheduled to place on Wednesday evening, August 15, 2007 for an additional fee of $40.

An evening session for caregivers, family, friends, direct care staff and nursing assistants will also be offered free of charge.
